Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has made a claim against Nigerians planning to protest against hunger and hardship.
Speaking on Tuesday, July 23, Wike expressed displeasure over the proposed nationwide protest.
Wike described the protest scheduled for August as political.
He reacted to the development while inspecting the Apo-Karshi road, in the nation’s capital.
The minister urged Nigerians to be patient, adding that many people want everything to be done in one day.
He assured that the present government of President Bola Tinubu is doing everything possible to deliver the dividends of democracy in the shortest time possible.
Wike said since the inception of Tinubu’s administration Nigerians have witnessed positive changes in governance.
He said: “You can see that the planned protest is political and nothing more. We need to be patient with this government.”
