On Thursday, Turntable Charts disclosed the album accumulated 12.3 million streams in its first week of release.

Rema‘s ‘Heis‘ album has set a new record on Spotify Nigeria.

This comes after his album became the first album with the biggest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria in 2024.

Turntable Charts disclosed this on Thursday, revealing that the album accumulated 12.3 million streams in its first week of release.

The album surpassed Olamide’s ‘Ikigai’ which garnered 7.92 million streams in its first week.

“Rema’s ‘HEIS’ recorded 12.3 million streams on Spotify Nigeria on its first week of release,” the post reads.

“As a result, it sets a new record for the biggest first-week streams for an album on Spotify Nigeria in 2024.”

Although ‘Heis’ is the album with the biggest opening week in 2024, it does not hold the all-time record.

The biggest opening week for any album on Spotify Nigeria’s history is Davido’s 2023 hit ‘Timeless’ at 14.4 million streams.

“‘HEIS’ recorded 12.3 million streams on Spotify Nigeria on its first week of release,” the post added.

“It becomes the second biggest first week streams for any album on Spotify Nigeria history — behind only @davido’s ‘Timeless’ (14.4M).”

‘Heis’, which is an 11-track project, was released on July 11. The project arrived two years after Rema’s debut album ‘Raves & Roses’.
