The Nigerian Government and organized labour have been at loggerheads over the implementation of a new minimum wage for workers.

The Federal Government has extended invitation to Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress for a meeting at the Aso Villa on Thursday.

The meeting is to reach agreement on the new national minimum wage.

A close source in the labour leadership who craved anonymity made this known to Punch on Wednesday.

According to him, Tinubu is willing to settle the lingering talks on minimum wage on Thursday and has invited the joint union presidents to a meeting.

Details later…
