FCT Police, Troops Storm Terrorists’ Hideout, Arrest Six Suspects

A statement issued on Friday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joesphine Adeh said the suspects were arrested during clearance operations in some identified bandits camps in Kaduna and Niger States bordering the FCT.

Officers from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, working together with Nigerian Army Guards Brigade troops, have apprehended six bandits who were causing terror in parts of the nation’s capital.

A statement issued on Friday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joesphine Adeh said the suspects were arrested during clearance operations in some identified bandits camps in Kaduna and Niger States bordering the FCT.

The PPRO said the operations were carried out between June 30 and July 4, 2024, when the operatives stormed some identified bandits camps in Gidan Dogo and Jerei forests, Kaduna State, and Niger State.

The suspects include Inusa Musa, Isiya Adamu, Kare Gambo, Aminu Musa, and Muhammed Ibrahim.

According to police, the criminal elements have voluntarily confessed to being involved in a string of kidnappings in FCT and its environs.

“While the operatives are still navigating the identified bandit camps and hideouts in the forests and hills in and around FCT, the commissioner of police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, psc, mni, reaffirms the command’s steadfast commitment to ensuring the security and safety of residents of the nation’s capital”,
she added.
