A 36-year-old Nigerian woman, Prudence Daniel-Obia, who was pregnant with a set of triplets, has died in the United Kingdom.

The sudden passing of a beloved member of the Nigerian community in the UK on June 21, 2024, has sparked an outpouring of grief and condolences.

As they mourn her loss, community members are rallying together to offer support and assistance to her family during this challenging period.

The community in a post shared on its official X account @NIUKCommunity says: “Late last year, she got pregnant with her first child. Excited for what the future holds, coupled with her new immigration status, Prudence was really hopeful for the coming months, excited to become a new mum, and had the dream of starting a new family with her beloved husband.

“However, on Friday, the 21st of June 2024, just three days after her 36th birthday, tragedy struck! Prudence went to bed and did not wake up! She died, together with her unborn babies (she was expecting triplets), leaving behind her distraught husband and aged parents.

“In this time of grief, we are reaching out to our community for support.


The Nigerian community pleaded for donations to help the grieving family cover the burial expenses.
