An activist, Harrison Gwamnishu had in a post on his official X handle, raised the alarm on Tuesday that some police officers allegedly extorted N810,000 from a motorist in Onitsha.

According to him, one of the officers, during a stop-and-search, allegedly planted marijuana inside the victim’s car and later accused him of being a drug dealer.

The victim, in an audio-visual post by the activist, alleged that the officers seized his phone and even threatened to kill him.
