Man Arrested With 407 Parcels Of Hemp In Lagos

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest, said the illicit drug was intercepted following weeks of discrete investigation.

On Monday, detectives from the Ojo Police Division raided a riverine community in the Ojo area of Lagos believed to be utilized by criminal gangs for distributing illicit drugs. During the operation, they apprehended a suspect in possession of 407 parcels of Indian hemp branded as Arizonna.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest, said the illicit drug was intercepted following weeks of discrete investigation.

He said, “On receiving the information, detectives from raced to the scene where one Ikechukwu Michael (26), was arrested.

“A total of 497 parcels of a substance suspected to be Arizonna hard drug were recovered.”
