FCT Police Arrest Six Suspects With 1,100 SIM Cards Registered In Innocent Persons’ Names And Sold To Criminals

Spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh, who disclosed this in a brief statement on Thursday, June 13, 2024, said the suspects registered the SIM cards using innocent persons' identities and then sold them to mostly criminals.

Six persons in possession of 1,100 registered SIM cards have been arrested by the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh, who disclosed this in a brief statement on Thursday, June 13, 2024, said the suspects registered the SIM cards using innocent persons' identities and then sold them to mostly criminals.

“These six suspects were arrested with 1,100 already registered SIM cards at the rate of N5,000 each using innocent persons’ identities for registration. They are mostly patronized by criminals , they have all confessed to the crime and will be charged to court soon,” she said.
