BBNaija Season 4 winner, Mercy Eke has taken to the X platform to express displeasure over the closure of Heritage Bank.
She revealed that she has the sum of N100 million in her bank account.
Recently, the CBN announced their decision to revoke the banking license of Heritage Bank.
This came after reports that the bank was struggling financially for over 5 years now as well as dealing with a lot of bad loans.
Mercy Eke who has an account with the bank revealed she heard the news before but was unwilling to accept the new reality.
She claimed that during her time in the BBN house, they were advised to open an account with them to receive their winnings.
Since then, she put some of her savings there since she had no idea the bank was struggling financially.
Although the NDIC has promised to pay customers who have less than N5 million their money in the next one week, customers who have more will have to wait until the bank assets are liquidated to receive theirs.
