Strike: Electricity Supply Restored in Nigeria Days After National Grid Shutdown

It has been revealed that electricity supply in the country has been restored.
 
This comes after labour unions called off its nationwide strike.
 
Emeka Ezeh, Head of Corporate Communications at Enugu Electricity Distribution Company disclosed to DAILY POST on Wednesday that the disco started receiving loads from the National grid around 6 pm on Tuesday.
 
When asked if the power supply had been restored to its franchise, he said: “Yes, we are restored. We started receiving loads at 18.06 hours yesterday (Tuesday)”.
 
The Transmission Company announced earlier the gradual restoration of power supply after organized labor on Tuesday suspended its strike action.
 
Recall that Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has restored supply to its customers in Abuja, Nasarawa, and Kogi.
 
Residents in Gwarimpa, Dawaki, FO1 in Kubwa, Utako confirmed to DAILY POST on Wednesday that power supply was restored Tuesday night.

“Power supply was flashed around 6 pm on Tuesday. At midnight, the power supply was restored fully”, Benjamin Okoli, a resident of Kubwa said.
 
The development comes after the organized labor suspended its indefinite strike on Tuesday.
 
On Monday, TCN said the striking workers had shut down the National grid resulting in an electricity outage while the strike lasted.
