Women Are Not Treated Properly in Africa – Joeboy Laments

Popular singer Joseph Akinfenwaa Donus, aka Joeboy has lamented in a recent interview that women are not treated well in Africa.
 
This is as he revealed the inspiration behind his hit song ‘Better.’
 
The singer explained that he wrote the song in a bid to shed light on domestic violence against women.
 
He disclosed this in a recent interview with popular media personality, Vivz.
 
Joeboy stated that sometimes women are not treated “properly” in African society.
 
The host said: “‘Better’ is my favourite song ever. In that song, it’s like you’re speaking up for a woman that has been treated badly by another man.”
 
Joeboy said: “It’s something that happens a lot in African society; domestic abuse. Sometimes women are maltreated and not treated properly. I wanted to shed light on domestic violence against women.”
