Three Boko Haram Fighters And Families Surrender To Troops In Borno

The militants surrendered after fleeing from the terrorist enclave in Njimia following intensified operations by the troops of Operation Desert Sanity III within the Sambisa Forest.

Three members of the deadly Boko Haram terrorist group and their families have surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Borno State.

It was gathered that the militants identified as Umar Ibn Khatab, Ibn Salih and Abdulrahman with their wives and children surrendered to the  troops of 21 armored Brigade Bama in the early hours of May 29, 2024.

According to security analyst and counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, the militants surrendered after fleeing from the terrorist enclave in Njimia following intensified operations by the troops of Operation Desert Sanity III within the Sambisa Forest.

They surrendered with 2Ak 47 rifle containing 10 X 7.62mm X 39mm special ammunition, one bicycle and a mobile phone.

The terrorists and their family are currently in the military custody for profiling.
