The Rapid Response Squad (RRS), has arrested an ex-convict and suspected traffic robber, Hakeem Badamosi, in the Ketu area of Lagos state.
In a statement on Thursday, May 30, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos police spokesperson, said the 29-year-old suspect was arrested on Wednesday, May 29, while attempting to dispossess a passerby of his mobile phone.
The police spokesperson said Badamosi, who was armed with a machete and charms, tried to flee upon seeing the officers but was rounded up with the assistance of residents.
Hundeyin said the operatives also arrested two suspected vandals in the Alausa business district on May 26 for removing a road signpost.
“Two suspected vandals, Jeremiah Odika ’m’ aged 20 and Aaron Gabbis ‘m’ aged 19, were arrested in the Alausa Business District, Ikeja, in the act of removing a road signpost,” the statement reads.
“All suspects have been charged in court.”
