Olayinka who appears to be displeased by the video, said the shame is not on the monarch but on the Governor who is a Prince and should know better not to allow the monarch squat.
Lere Olayinka, a former media aide to former governor, Ayo Fayose, has taken a swipe at the governor of Ogun state, Dapo Abiodun, after a video of a king squatting to speak to him surfaced online.
The Governor and the monarch met at a public event in Lagos. In a video shared online, the monarch was filmed squatting to speak to the governor.
Olayinka who appears to be displeased by the video, said the shame is not on the monarch but on the Governor who is a Prince and should know better not to allow the monarch squat.
He shared the video on his X page and wrote;
‘’Kábíyèsí, Orí Adé, Ọrùn Ìlẹ̀kẹ̀, kneeling to talk to the Imperial Majesty, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor Eleyi of Ogun State.
The shame is not on this Ọba though, it is on the Governor, who himself is a Prince.''
