During the arrest, a vehicle, locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
Six suspected cult members have been arrested by men attached to the Delta State Police Command's Buffalo Squad.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, May 19, 2024.
During the arrest, a vehicle, locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered from the suspects.
“Operatives attached to the Command's Bufallo squad while on routine patrol along Ibusa Road intercepted a black GLK conveying six young boys; upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, a locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered,” the PPRO wrote.
“Ordinarily, when people see police stopping random vehicles for a search, passersby will say Police are harassing innocent youths. Our investigation has revealed that they are suspected members of the Black Axe Confraternity.”
