A family source said the kidnappers had made contact with the wife of the deceased and demanded a N15 million ransom.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the family initially paid N3 million to the kidnappers and later N6 million, bringing the total amount paid to N9 million.

He said the ransom was paid to the kidnappers at designated locations.
