Dino Melaye, the former gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, has entered the current rivalry between Nigerian Afrobeats sensations Wizkid and Davido.
Melaye argued that Davido is “undoubtedly” the leader of the Nigerian music industry and most commercially successful globally.
On his X handle on Wednesday, he wrote: “Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undoubtedly the most patronised globally.”
Daily Post reports that Wizkid and Davido were recently engaged in a fierce social media war on X.
Davido later challenged Wizkid to a hit battle but the Starboy boss had yet to reply.
