The Students Union Government (SUG) of the University of Abuja (Uniabuja) has expressed sorrow over the passing of Murjanatu Zubairu, a 400-level student of the university. She tragically lost her life in a motor accident on the Lugbe-Airport road in Abuja last Friday.
In a statement, the President of the SUG, Comrade Abdullahi Bashir Mohammed, said, “It was with a heavy heart that the union received the shocking news of the sudden demise of our colleague who was the Speaker of the National Union of Education Students Association (NUESA) in the Department of Arts Education of the university.’’
He described the deceased student as a dedicated and committed leader whose contributions would never be forgotten.
While praying for God to grant her eternal peace, he condoled with her family, friends and the entire students of the university.
Recall that the late Murjanatu was earlier declared missing while on transit from Piwoyi to the school but was later confirmed to have died in a motor accident.
