Drama Looms As Blackface Calls Out Shallipopi For Allegedly Stealing His Song

The former Plantashun Boiz members claimed that Shallipopi sampled his song ‘Enemy Plan’ in his recently released debut album ‘Shakepopi’ without his permission.

Augustine Obiabo Amedu, the veteran Nigerian singer, who is popularly known as Blackface, has accused his colleague, Shallipopi, of intellectual property theft.

The former Plantashun Boiz members claimed that Shallipopi sampled his song ‘Enemy Plan’ in his recently released debut album ‘Shakepopi’ without his permission.

Sharing a video on his Instagram page on Sunday, Blackface queried if Nigerian artists can’t sing without copying his sound or melody.

He wrote in pidgin, “Una mean say if them no copy my sound or my melody them no go get song to sing? Ok I don make remix for una so make una better abandon this una project.”


Shallipopi is yet to react to the allegation.
