The Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA Mr. Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed that the driver of the truck with his motor-boy ran away immediately the fatal accident occurred.
Today, April 12th, a fully loaded 40ft Mack articulated truck toppled onto a Nissan Car (ABJ 692 BG), resulting in the immediate death of a woman at the rear of the car.
However, the driver of the car escaped unharmed, with assistance from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officials, at N.N.P.C inward Estate, Alapere, Lagos.
The Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department of LASTMA Mr. Adebayo Taofiq, in a statement released, confirmed that the driver of the Mack articulated truck with his motor-boy ran away immediately the fatal accident occurred.
He said preliminary investigations revealed that the driver of the Mack articulated 40ft fully loaded container, while on a high speed lost control as a result of a brake failure and rammed into a moving Nissan car on motion by N.N.P.C inward Alapere, Ogudu along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Lagos.
The evacuated dead body of the woman has been handed over to Police men from Alapere Police Station.
