EFCC Nabs 39 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Edo

On Thursday, the Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) apprehended 39 individuals suspected of internet fraud at various sites in Benin City, the capital of the state.

Spokesman for the anti-graft agency, Dele Oyewale, revealed this in a statement in Abuja, saying the suspects were arrested following “actionable intelligence” on their suspected involvement in a computer-related fraud.

Oyewale said items recovered from them included eight cars, laptops and phones.

”The suspects will be charged to court soon,” he said.
