The suspect who confessed to the crime on Sunday said he stole the ram to meet his personal needs.
A man identified as Mohammed Tanko, has been arrested for stealing a ram in Kurikyo, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The suspect, a resident of Anguwan Gayam, was said to have slaughtered the stolen ram before he was apprehended by some residents of the community on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
According to an eyewitness, the suspect has been handed over to security for appropriate actions after he was “thoroughly beaten”.
The suspect who had confessed to the crime on Sunday said he stole the ram in order to meet his personal needs.
Mohammed blamed the act on economic hardship and begged for mercy.
