Palliative Stampede: House Of Reps Caucus Pays Condolence Visit To NSUK

During the visit on Tuesday, the caucus members expressed their sympathies to the university’s staff and students over the tragic incident.

The Nasarawa State caucus in the House of Representatives has visited Nasarawa State University, Keffi, to express condolences following the tragic death of several undergraduate students in a palliative stampede.

Daily Post reports that the incident, which occurred on Friday, March 22, at the Convocation Square of the state-owned university, also resulted in several injuries, with affected individuals currently receiving medical treatment.

The caucus members, led by lawmaker, Gbefwi Jonathan Gaza, include Rep. Abubakar Sarki Dahiru, Rep. Abubakar Hassan Nalaraba, Rep. Abdulmumin Ari, and Rep. Jeremiah Umaru, were received by Professor Muhammed Bala Suleiman, the Vice-Chancellor of the university.

During the visit on Tuesday, the caucus members expressed their sympathies to the university’s staff and students over the tragic incident.

They assured the university management of their support during this difficult time, stating their commitment to assisting the university community in any way possible.
