Labour Party Suspends Youth Leader in Enugu

According to the statement, the suspended Youth Leader has been asked to submit all party items in his custody to the Chairman within the next 48 hours.

 
Onyekachi Philip Ugwu has been suspended as Labour Party Youth Leader for Obimo/Ikwoka Ward Nsukka Local Government of Enugu State.
 
This comes after a vote of no confidence was passed on the Youth Leader by the Ward Executive Committee and stakeholders of the party.
 
This was contained in a statement on Wednesday jointly signed by the Labour Party ward Chairman and Secretary, Ozor Chigbogu and Sabastine Ugwuoke, respectively.
 
Ugwu was accused by the party of engaging in anti-party activities and other suspicious activities alleged to be detrimental to the reputation and values of the Labour Party.
 
According to the statement, the suspended Youth Leader has been asked to submit all party items in his custody to the Chairman within the next 48 hours.
 
He was also warned by the notice to cease parading himself as the Party Youth Leader, pending the recommendation of the disciplinary committee.
