The suspects will have their day in court upon completion of a discreet investigation.
Three male suspects, Joseph Onyema, 35 yrs, Uzoma Nwanoreze, 30yrs, and Eberechukwu Nwosu, 43yrs, have been arrested by the Imo State Police Command for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl.
Investigation by the police revealed that the suspects had unlawful carnal knowledge of the minor on different occasions which made her develop serious v*ginal injuries as well as a s3xually transmitted disease.
The victim is currently receiving intense medical care at the hospital. The suspects will have their day in court upon completion of a discreet investigation.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Okoye Henry said the state Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma while condemning the barbaric acts in totality, called on the well-meaning resident of Imo State to support the Police in the onslaught against defilement, r*pe, and other s3xual related crimes in the State.
He affirmed that such societal menace is utterly condemnable and perpetrators will be made to face the wrath of the law.
