How The Oluwo Of Iwo Described The Death Of Olubadan

Oluwo, in a statement on Friday by his press secretary, Alli Ibrahim, commiserated with the Balogun Ali-Iwo family of Ibadan and entire Ibadanland over the demise of the monarch.

Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwoland, has described the death of Olubadan, HIM Oba Lekan Balogun Ali,Okunmade II, as a monumental loss to the traditional institution, especially in Yorubaland.

Oluwo, in a statement on Friday by his press secretary, Alli Ibrahim, commiserated with the Balogun Ali-Iwo family of Ibadan and entire Ibadanland over the demise of the monarch.

“The death of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, HIM Oba Lekan Balogun Ali, Okunmade II was a monumental loss to the traditional institution most especially in Yorubaland. He was an asset who served Ibadanland and Nigeria meritoriously.”

“I commiserate with the Ali Balogun family of Ibadan and Iwo. He was a pride and positive symbol who represented the family and Ibadanland diligently. We are missing you already

“I pray God will forgive your shortcomings and grant you Aljana Firdaus. Once again, my condolences to Ibadanland,”
the statement read.
