Hardship: Police Arrest 15 Suspects Over Looting Of Abuja Warehouse

Items such as twenty-six bags of Maize, five Motorcycles and some vandalized aluminium roofings were recovered from the suspects.


 

Police officials in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, have arrested 15 suspects over the looting of a warehouse in the nation's capital.

Recall hoodlums invaded the Agric Department Strategic food store located at Tasha, Abuja on Sunday and carted away food items and other valuables.

A statement issued by Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh said operatives of the command arrested some of the hoodlums and recovered stolen items.

According to her, items such as twenty-six bags of Maize, five Motorcycles and some vandalized aluminium roofings were recovered from the suspects.

“The Command wishes to state that normalcy has since been restored to the environ and the situation is very much under control, as fifteen (15) suspects were arrested, including two local security guards employed by the warehouse management”, the statement added.
