A video of an airline placing dry clothes on the wet floor for passengers to board their flight after the downpour caused flooding at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State has surfaced online.

Other airline staff stood holding umbrellas at the entrance to the aircraft to keep passengers dry.

Sharing the video, PDP Chieftain, Dele Momodu wrote: “This is a patriotic appeal to Nigerian Airport Authorities to PLEASE save our country this unfortunate embarrassment... This was how Virgin Atlantic boarded its passengers to London this morning in Lagos... A distraught passenger just sent me this footage...”
