It was gathered that Ahmed is being grilled over alleged financial misconduct during his tenure as Kwara State governor.
Demonstrations broke out on Wednesday at the Ilorin Zonal Command office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), protesting the prolonged detention of the former governor of Kwara State, Abdulfatah Ahmed.
Ahmed’s detention at the EFCC Ilorin office entered a third day on Wednesday.
Daily Post reports that Ahmed is being grilled over alleged financial misconduct during his tenure as Kwara State governor.
Wednesday’s protest by Ahmed’s supporters, which commenced in the morning, ended at about 12:23 pm after an EFCC official, Micheal Nzekwe, addressed the protesters.
