Residents of Oyo State have accused President Bola Tinubu of introducing policies that are anti-people.

The residents made this declaration during a peaceful protest staged against the current economic hardship in the country.

The peaceful protest was organised by youths in the state.

One of the protesters, Comrade Kunle Ajayi, who spoke on behalf of the residents, called on the people of the state to rise up and speak against the current economic hardship.

Ajayi while speaking with DAILY POST said that nothing is working in the country.

“We have to come out, Nigeria cannot continue this way. Things are so bad.

“We need to rise up. We need to come out together as people. We need to say no to bad policies.

“We need to tell the IMF and Tinubu that his policies are against the people. If you have one hundred thousand naira, it is like one thousand naira, if you have ten thousand naira, it is like one naira.

“Nothing is working. We need to make things work. That is the reason why we are outside. We are mobilising. It is just testing the microphone.”
