Lagos State Government Reacts To Trending Video Of Traders Selling Wares On Rail Lines

Reacting to the video, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said the traders have been cleared off the rail.

 

The Lagos state government has reacted to the viral video of traders selling their wares at the rail line.

A video of a trader selling his wares on a rail track and sitting comfortably as the train moved left many on social media in shock on Monday, February 12.

Reacting to the video, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, said the traders have been cleared off the rail.

Sharing a video of the train tracks free of traders, Wahab wrote;

‘’In response to the trending video of traders selling wares on rail lines, the Lagos State Ministry of the Environment and Water through the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI), this morning, begin immediate and sustained enforcement and clearing of the rail tracks.''
