A man, Musibau Abubakar, his wife and their 3-months-old baby have been confirmed dead in a a fire outbreak in Jega Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

Meanwhile, Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris has donated N10m to Musibau's family and N50m to traders whose shops were also gutted by fire in Jega last month.
Gov. Idris gave the donation on Thursday, February 8, when he paid a condolence visit to the family residence of the deceased as well as the scene of market inferno.
"N50m is for those whose shops were burnt down on 16th January 2024, while N10m is for the family that lost their lives. At this juncture, I want to pray to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased shortcomings and grant them Jannatul Firdaus," the Governor said.
The governor described the inferno as an act of God Almighty that nobody had the right to question and advised the family members and friends to always remember the deceased in their prayers for God Almighty to have mercy on their souls.
