AFCON 2023: Super Eagles Get Nwabali Boost Ahead Angola Clash

Nwabali sustained a mild ligament injury in Super Eagles’ 2-0 victory against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon last Saturday.

According to a report by Daily Post, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali returned to training on Tuesday night after an impressive recovery from his injury.

The Chippa United goalie trained separately on Monday as the Super Eagles started preparations for their quarter-final clash with Angola.

The shot stopper however trained with the goalkeeper trainer at the Police College, Cocody, Abidjan on Tuesday to give credence that he is good to go against the Palancas Negras.

He was no longer limping as he was taken through the routine goalkeeping drills.

Nwabali is expected to undergo another test on Wednesday to ascertain his fitness level.
