Troops Raid Terrorists’ Hideout, Rescue Four Kidnapped Victims In Kebbi

During the operation, the troops neutralized one terrorist and successfully rescued four kidnap victims from captivity.

In a joint operation, troops from the 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, working in conjunction with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and local vigilantes, carried out an early morning raid on a terrorist camp. This operation led to the successful rescue of four kidnapped individuals and the retrieval of arms and ammunition.

A statement on Nigerian Army X account, @HQNigerianArmy, signed by Captain Yahaya Ibrahim, Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations, 1 Brigade Gusau, stated that the targeted raid operation took place at Sabon Gari Village in Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

During the operation, the troops neutralized one terrorist and successfully rescued four kidnap victims from captivity.

Ibrahim stated that the troops also recovered three AK-47 rifles, three magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and two pairs of camouflage uniforms from the terrorists’ hideout.

He said, all four rescued victims, identified as males, have been reunited with their families.

The troops, displaying unwavering commitment to restoring security in the region, continue to pursue and track the wounded and fleeing terrorists.

“All the rescued victims who are 4 males have since been reunited with their families, while troops continued to trail the wounded and fleeing terrorists.” The statement read in part.
