CP Umar Shehu Nadada, the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, has ordered the proactive and adequate deployment of Police operatives and vigilantes to identified areas bordering the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Police Public Relations Officer of the state, Ramhan Nasel.

The statement said the deployment became necessary because of the recent security issues being experienced across the country, particularly in the nation’s capital.

The commissioner emphasised the need for proactiveness to prevent the lingering security crisis in Abuja from escalating into the state.

The CP also tasked Area Commanders in New Karu, Keffi, and Nasarawa and all Divisional Police officers under them to mobilise their personnel and vigilantes, partner with the traditional rulers, community leaders and sister security agencies to dominate the areas.

He charged them to be civil to members of the public, as no laxity and unprofessional conduct would be tolerated.
