Nigerian Catholic priest, Fr. Kelvin Ugwu, has condemned reports of Pope Francis approving the Roman Catholic Church to administer blessings to same-sex couples.
In a historic announcement from the Vatican on Monday, December 18, 2023, the Pope formally signed off a new policy allowing Catholic priests to bless same-sex couples as long as they are not part of regular church rituals or liturgies in context related to civil unions or weddings.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the missionary priest said homos3xual acts should be condemned emphatically.
According to him, same-sex people cannot be a couple and should not even be addressed as such.
"There is nothing like same-s3x couple. We should not even use the term "couple" to address them in the first place. Man and man cannot be a couple, woman and woman cannot be a couple. Homos3xual acts should be condemned emphatically while respecting the human person. Full stop," he wrote.
