The gunmen last Monday abducted eight women, the wife of the chief, who were harvesting beniseed.
The kidnappers of one of the wives of the Village Head of Gwombe in Gwargwada Chiefdom in Kuje Area Council of the FCT, along with seven others, have demanded that the families of the victims provide N2 million each for their release.
City & Crime had reported that gunmen last Monday abducted eight women, the wife of the chief, who were harvesting beniseed.
A resident, simply identified as Shuaibu, said, “The leader of the kidnappers called through one of the victims’ phone and asked the families to raise N2m each.
“However, the person who is negotiating with them is still begging them to reduce the ransom.”
There was no response from the spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, on the development.
