Kano Guber: Governor Yusuf Heads to Supreme Court Over Appeal Court Verdict

There has been confusion over the Appeal Court judgement that sacked Yusuf.

 
Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has finally approached the Supreme Court over the judgment of the Appeal Court that sacked him from office.
 
Some days ago, the Appeal Court had sacked Yusuf, of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, over ineligibility to contest while declaring the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Nasiru Gawuna, winner of the governorship election in the state.
 
There has been confusion over the Appeal Court judgement that sacked Yusuf.
 
The court has asked concerned lawyers to return certified true copies of its judgement for corrections.
 
The Appeal Court had ruled that Yusuf was not a member of the NNPP during the election.
 
However, the certified true copies of the judgement triggered confusion as it indicated that the court upheld Yusuf’s victory.
