A 26-year-old driver, Umar Abdullahi, has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by an Area Court in Jos on Tuesday over the theft of a motorcycle.

Bokkos, however, gave him an option to pay N20,000 as fine and ordered him to pay another N68,000 for the unrecovered motorcycle.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Insp Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the case was reported on Oct. 9, at the Angwan Rogo Police Station by Sani Umar, the complainant.
The prosecutor said the convict dishonestly took the motorcycle valued sixty-eight naira and ran away with it until he was arrested by the police.
Gokwat said that the offence contravened the provisions of the Plateau Penal Code.
