Subsidy Removal: Governor Mbah Announces Wage Award For Enugu Civil Servants

A new wage reward has been announced by Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for workers in the state.
 
He approved additional palliatives for workers in the State to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal.
 
The approval covers workers in the state and the local government area.
 
The Governor also approved cash transfers to indigent citizens.
 
This was confirmed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mr Dan Nwome.
 
He wrote: “Governor Peter Mbah approves additional palliatives for workers, cash transfers to indigent citizens

“Between N10,000 and N25,000 to be paid to civil servants, teachers and local government workers for 5 months;

“Minimum wage for workers for renegotiation;

“State social register updated from 43,000 to 260,000 beneficiaries for cash transfers.”
