Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Lawan Adam Shiisu, confirmed the release of the women in a statement on Tuesday night, November 7.

The two abducted wives of Hon. Nasiru Ahmed Kiyawa, the chairman of Kiyawa Local Government in Jigawa State, have been freed from captivity.
Gunmen attacked the residence of the council boss last Friday night and kidnapped his two wives.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Lawan Adam Shiisu, confirmed the release of the women in a statement on Tuesday night, November 7.
"The two wives of Kiyawa LG Chairman have been released by their abductors at Ningi LGA of Bauchi State. They had since been reunited with their family members,” DSP Shiitu said.
The police spokesman did not reveal whether ransom was paid or not before the release of the two women.
