There was a fire outbreak at the building of the High Commission of Canada in Abuja, Nigeria on Monday, November 6.
The building located at 13010G, Palm Close, Diplomatic Drive, Central Business District in Abuja, got engulfed in fire today around a few minutes to 12 PM.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at the time of filing this report.
Images, however, circulating online show smoke billowing from the premises. The fire is said to have forced the evacuation of staff members and vehicles from the building.
Recall that the High Commission plays a crucial role in providing visa and immigration services for individuals wishing to travel or relocate to Canada.
Also, it offers assistance to Canadians residing or visiting Nigeria, as well as those in Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome and Principe.
