Update: Teachers Protest Alleged Killing Of Colleague By Student's Father In Delta (Photos)

Recall that late Ufah was allegedly flogged to death by the suspect identified as Nnajiofor Nweke, on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, following a disciplinary action against his son over theft.


There was a protest staged by members of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT, Ika South Local Government Area chapter in Delta State, led by her chairman, Comrade Isaac Arimokwu over the alleged killing of a Physics teacher in Alihame Mixed Secondary School, Agbo, Mr Onyeisi Sunday Ufah, by a parent.

TORI reported that late Ufah was allegedly flogged to death by the suspect identified as Nnajiofor Nweke, on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, following a disciplinary action against his son over theft.  

Spokesperson of the state Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday, said the suspect's son and some other students allegedly stole kegs of palm wine from a store.

The incident was reported to the school authorities, who identified and punished the students.

However, upon finding out about the punishment, the suspect came to the school with a cane and started flogging the teachers.

Ufah was said to have slumped and died during the attack.
