It was learnt that policemen at the Kwaku outpost were unable to engage them due to the sophistication of the weapons they came in with.
In what will come across as a really startling development, some gunmen caused serious havoc in the FCT.
The gunmen, on Friday around 11pm invaded Kwaku community in Kuje Area Council of the FCT, abducted seven people and burgled shops.
A resident, Ishaya Musa, said, “They operated for over 30 minutes amid sporadic shooting without the presence of security agents,” adding that contact was yet to be established with the abductors.’’
City & Crime learnt that policemen at the Kwaku outpost were unable to engage them due to the sophistication of the weapons they came in with.
The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, Adeh Josephine, was yet to confirm the incident.
