How Police Arrested Naira Marley After Return to Nigeria

Naira Marley is among the individuals suspected of having conflicts with the late 27-year-old Mohbad before his passing.

 
Details have emerged how singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley was apprehended by the Lagos State Police Command.
 
Recall that we reported that he was arrested after arriving Nigeria.
 
Lagos Police Command said the singer was arrested for questioning in connection with the demise of the singer Ilerioluwa Promise, also known as Mohbad.
 
Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the command, made this announcement via his Twitter account on Tuesday night.
 
According to Hundeyin, “Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for questioning and further investigative procedures.”
 
Naira Marley is among the individuals suspected of having conflicts with the late 27-year-old Mohbad before his passing.
 
Mohbad was previously associated with Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music, but he departed from the label in October 2022.
 
A viral video captured the moment that the authorities picked up Nigerian music executive Naira Marley at the airport. The clip showed the Soapy hitmaker walking hastily, flanked by a group of hefty men who walked him up to a vehicle parked waiting for them.
 
Apart from Naira Marley, the Lagos State Police Command had also apprehended a music promoter known as Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, or Sam Larry, who had been accused by many of having a feud with Mohbad.
