The suspects, including 29-year-old Bilal Faraji and 28-year-old Yusuf A. Yusuf, were arrested while supplying firearms to criminals along Ringim axis.
Two suspects have been arrested by the police in Jigawa State for allegedly supplying firearms to criminals in Kano and Jigawa States.
Police spokesman DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, confirmed the arrest to DAILY POST.
The suspects, including 29-year-old Bilal Faraji and 28-year-old Yusuf A. Yusuf, were arrested while supplying firearms to criminals along Ringim axis.
According to him, “On 03/10/2023 at about 0900hrs, one Bilal Faraji of Niger Republic and one Yusuf A. Yusuf of Kazaure LGA Jigawa state were arrested with firearms and ammunition which they were supplying to unscrupulous elements terrorising Ringim and its environs.’
He said on interrogation, the suspects confessed to have been selling and supplying firearms within Kano and Jigawa states.
Shiisu said investigation is going on and the suspects will be taken to court for prosecution.
