The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has dismissed reports of an alleged attack on its National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, in Ibadan.
The party described purveyors of the fake news as fifth columnists spreading unfounded rumour of attacks and harassment on Ganduje.
Ganduje was in Ibadan on Tuesday where he paid homage to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, at his residence and later visited the Ibadan home of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who just returned to Nigeria from a medical trip abroad.
A statement by Oyo APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, expressed gratitude to Ganduje and the National Secretary of the party, Sen. Ajibola Bashiru, for making Oyo one of the first states to be visited upon their assumption of office.
