UNIZIK to Mount CCTV In Classrooms And Offices Following S3xual Harassment Allegations

The university's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone, said the initiatives are meant to checkmate unruly activities.

 
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State has revealed plans to install Close Circuit Television (CCTV) in offices and classrooms.
 
The school said this is to curb the rate of s3xual harassment of students by lecturers.
 
The school has also launched an Operation Speak Out project to give victims the opportunity to expose the culprits.
 
The university's Vice Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone, said the initiatives are meant to checkmate unruly activities. 
 
Esimone also said the projects became necessary because most students are afraid that lecturers might victimize them more if they talked.
