Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 general elections has taken to Twitter to celebrate Alex Okosi.
This followed Okosi's appointment as the Managing Director of Google Africa.
In a Twitter post, Obi wrote:
"I sincerely rejoice with Alex Okosi, a Nigerian who was recently appointed as the new Google Managing Director for Africa. According to reports, he will be responsible for Google’s operations in Africa, including programs to help businesses and economies in the continent grow.
Okosi's appointment to such an exalted position is a bold testimony to his towering personal and professional accomplishments. It reinforces his expressed desire for growth and innovation in Africa and advances his commitment to excellence.
His journey to the top is a result of hard work, dedication and commitment. As I have consistently maintained, we must build a New Nigeria where Nigerians, especially the youths will be inspired to achieve greatness through hard work, the pursuit of excellence and enterprise, as exemplified by Alex Okosi. I celebrate him for attaining such a great height and urge him and other well-meaning Nigerians to continue with their contribution to the growth and development of our nation.
