Police Arrest Quack Engineer Responsible For Collapsed Four-storey Building In Akwa Ibom

The state Commissioner of Police, CP Olatoye Durosinmi, disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the police headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

A quack engineer, Felix Anietie Udoh, who constructed a four-story building that collapsed last year, leaving one victim dead and five others severely injured has been arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command
 
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Olatoye Durosinmi, disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the police headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, Uyo, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
 
“Recall that on the 17th of September 2022, a four storey building situated at No. 3 Iman Street, behind Zenith bank off Aka road, Uyo collapsed leading to the death of one Favour Chukwuemeka Okoro ‘m’ while five persons were rescued,
” the CP stated.
 
“The alleged site Engineer, one Felix Anietie Udoh of Felixzity High Technology Limited fled. On 7/8/2023 suspect was arrested by the Anti-Robbery Squad of the Command. On interrogation, the suspect confessed not to be an Engineer but a builder.”
 
 The suspect will have his day in court, the Commissioner added.
